The white on white can be quite a challenge. Most of us are not brave enough to try a series like this. Have you tried using the snowy landscape of Alberta for inspiration?

Thanks for connecting Maria. Yes I’ve been looking at our snowy landscape as a possible departure within this series. The first piece in that vein was a 1980’s twist on the snowy village paintings of A.J.Casson, but it stalled out in too much detail, so I’ve set that inspiration aside at the moment. Gesso took that piece back to basic white on white. LOL Right now I’m exploring Lawren Harris’ abstract expressionist work as an influence for upcoming works in this series. Cheers!
